PMRV reducers are used in combination with electric motors.

The reducer reduces the speed of the electric motor to the value we want to operate. The gearboxes have different ratios of 7.5: 1 - 10: 1 - 20: 1 - 40: 1.

When installing the gear unit, always make sure that:

• the data on the nameplate correspond to the data of the ordered item
• the housing and shafts are clean and undamaged
• the surface to which the gear unit is attached is flat and strong enough
• the gearbox and the motor shaft fit well
• if there is a possibility of vibration or jamming, a torque limiter must be installed
• the rotating parts are covered with plastic covers
• the device used outdoors must be adequately protected from the weather
• operating conditions do not cause corrosion (unless previously specified and the gear unit and electric motor are properly prepared)
• gears, shaft gears, input/output shaft are correctly fixed so that they do not become radial or axial loads not exceeding the maximum permissible limit
• all couplings are coated with an anti-corrosion agent to prevent oxidation upon contact
• all fastening screws must be securely tightened.

All calculations are based on 1400 rpm electric motors. If you use an electric motor with a different speed than 1400 rpm, divide the input speed by the ratio of the gearbox and get the output speed.
